I’ll be running with the Bikila’s in the NYC Marathon on Nov 7, should be an interesting run… so far I really like the improvements over the V5F KSOs I’ve been running in for a few months (finally wore them out).

Nancy, how did the 2nd pair work out? I have seen several reviews indicating bad seams and am holding off on purchasing until I see a few current reviews that don’t indicate quality issues.

I’m on my 2nd pair of Bikila’s b/c the 1st pair had bad seams that came apart after just 3 outings. The return process was easy and this was apparently a common issue per City Sports (which may explain the long delays in inventory).

Glad I chanced another try, though, as I’m really enjoying them! I’m a long time runner, but new to “barefoot” style running and I suspect the Bikilas are helping me transition with good form.

I’m assuming you got the Bikila’s, yes? If so, and I know it sounds strange, the color Bikila you got will have an effect. In my experience the green one’s are the loosest feeling followed by the blue then the red. I’m not alone in this opinion.

If however you feel that the shoe is just way to tight, I would go up a size. In the future, the best policy is to try a pair on in a store first – even if it’s not the style you want – so you can get a feel for how they actually fit. Hopefully you can send your shoes back to where you got them. If not, you can probably sell them on eBay.

I just got a pair, my first Vibram, but I feel that they feel really tight and snug. I followed the sizing chart, but I’m thinking about going a 1/4 size up. Is this a common theme from everyone who is buying this product?

Great review. I bought a soho 2 months ago and just love riding it – usually 2-20 miles a day. I live in Denmark where the weather and the wind is more of an obstacle than hills and mountains. Just wanted you to know your review is very enjoyable….

Nice review. I definitely think the Bikilas are the most comfortable full coverage VFFs made so far. I also agree with your assessment as to them being the most refined yet. As I put it in my initial review of the Bikila, the "Bikila is the highest-quality Vibram Five Fingers model released yet. " As for where to get them, I would avoid ebay due to the pervasive counterfeit Five Fingers problem. I've seen some "Bikilas" on ebay that were anything but (though they had the proper color scheme of silver/red, that is where the similarities stopped). I picked up the sensor pocket from a local running store. The one I got is by Nathan. Here is a link. It works well because it has holes in the band where the velcro can bite in.

Just recently picked up a pair of these and I love the feel of them. So light weight I really do feel like I’m running barefoot. Where did you get the sensor pocket?
